|  | Royal Palace The splendid construction had raised beginning from 1600 for one of the greatest and populous capital city of the Spanish empire. The building, inhabited first from the Spanish viceroys, from the Austrians, from the Borbones and finally from the Savoia, has been center and image of the power, as well as I untie some historical circumstances of Naples and the Midday for almost four centuries.
The project was entrusted by the viceroy, Fernando Ruiz de Castro, to the architect Domenico Fontana, between the most famous architects of the time, draftsman of the Rome of Sisto V.

|  | S. Gregorio Armeno The church of St. Gregorio Armeno is situated on the street with the same name, his construction began in 1574 by a donation of the abbess Donna Giulia Caracciolo.
The church was terminated in 1579 and , in the next year, dedicated to St. Gregorio Armeno.
The façade shows three arch in piperno, the hall is dark and deep with four pillars.
The door is in walnut and the church has only a nave with five arcades for side, alternate with pillars.
The interior, but the chapels, were painted by Luca Giordano in 1679 to celebrate the first centennial of the church.

|  | Via Caracciolo This is the pedestrian walkway along the Bay of Naples. It's like the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. A nice walk along the water that takes you from the harbour at Mergellina (one of the Hydrofoil piers) to Piazza Vittoria and then to the Castel dell'Ovo (the Castle.) There are street vendors along the way selling food and souveniers. On Sundays, this becomes a pedestrian-only zone. You'll enjoy the view and when you reach the Castle, you can sit down for a nice meal at the many restaurants there. ...

|  | P.zza Plebiscito Designed by Domenico Fontana for Viceroy Ferrante di Castro. Enlarged and restored, it became the official residence of the Bourbon and Savoy kings. The eight statues along the facade represent the heads of the various dynasties which have reigned over Naples, and were put there on the initiative of Umberto I. Well worth seeing is the royal suite and the court theatre. The Naples public library (Bibloteca Nazionale) is also housed in the Royal Palace. ...
