SMI - Sistemi Meccanici Industriali

SMI - Sistemi Meccanici Industriali is a Company specialized in machines and tools for the manufacturing of elements in tubes of copper and light alloy. The original nucleus was a small craft firm founded in the 1978. In the 1985 the first company became FCF and began to produce, in the new factory in Varmo (UD), the first machines for the heat exchangers field. The fast development of FCF brought about the SMI foundation in the 1990: at first commercial firm of the FCF products, then SMI became an executive and productive centre, where there are modern technical, administrative, commercial offices and new shops of plant engineering, assembly and painting. In the two-year period 1998-99 the SMI company reached another important production target: the certification ISO 9001 for SMI and the ISO 9002 for FCF and the acquisition of the IMEV, a firm specialized in structural steel work.
