MIP - Politecnico di Milano - Business School http://www.mip.polimi.it
Since 1979, the MIP, the Business School of the Politecnico di Milano, has been one of the most prestigious schools offering business and management training to graduates from all disciplines. The statutory objective is “…to promote high quality professional training and applied research aimed at innovating business administration methods to exploit the potential of new technologies, while also disseminating the skills and expertise of the Politecnico di Milano and so facilitating their impact on industry…” As the Business School of the Politecnico di Milano, the MIP inherits the idea of appreciating technology as an essential tool to create, innovate and manage a company. In a nutshell, this is the main ‘value’ which characterizes and differentiates the MIP-Politecnico di Milano. In today’s industrial world dominated by technology and continual, rapid innovation, only a technology-based approach to management can ensure that company processes are effectively understood and controlled. With its knowledge resources and academic culture, the MIP-Politecnico di Milano can offer training programmes with a strong scientific and technological imprint. The original and undoubtedly advantageous ties to an engineering school such as the Politecnico have not, however, prevented the MIP-Politecnico di Milano from considerably extending its own user base to graduates from other faculties, so rendering the institution both interdisciplinary and international. A further essential value is the close collaboration with the business world, as companies may be both members of the Consortium and users of its services. This relation contributes to the development of training and applied research projects which are increasingly close to the needs of the market and its main actors. |
